Today, I’m thrilled to introduce you to April’s standout star—Emmy, who joined us on October 27, 2024, and has been dazzling us ever since. Tell us a bit about yourself – who is Emmy outside of TikTok?

-I’m 19 years old and I’m from Lund, Sweden. My biggest hobbies in life is dancing and singing!

What made you join Parasition on October 27, 2024?

-Tindra wrote to me on TikTok, inviting me to work with Parasition. ”Post TikTok’s and get paid” - it almost sounded too good to be true, so of course I wanted to give it a try!!

What drives you most as a creator – what do you hope to communicate with your videos?

-I dream about being a big TikTok creator and getting paid for making fun and inspiring videos. This would really help me on the way to my dream of working as a professional dancer, which is a career with a lot of concurrence.

INSIGHTS INTO EMMY’S CREATIVE PROCESS
Do you have any special tricks to hook viewers, like text placement or scenery?

-I always put the text either in the middle of the screen or above me cause I don’t want it to cover my face. Since we usually don’t use already trending sounds I’ve discovered that provocative/interesting text is important to make the video popular.

What challenges have you faced as a content creator, and how did you overcome them?

-I posted 4 videos and none of them went viral, so I lost a little hope. But then I posted the 5th and it got almost 300k views! So I think it’s important to keep posting consistently and then the views will come eventually, even if it takes a while. Remember that it’s impossible for all videos to go viral. Sometimes videos I’ve put a lot of time and effort into and really believed would be popular weren’t popular at all. And then the video I made in 2 minutes got 50k views! So don’t think to much, just keep posting!

What one piece of advice would you give to someone just starting out on TikTok?

“Don’t be afraid to take inspiration from other creators! Don’t be afraid to get judged. I know in the beginning I was afraid people I know would think I’m weird for posting so much, but they are the ones who are weird for judging someone who is trying. Don’t give up if results don’t come right away, remember that slow progress is still progress!”
