This is what we are building
The mission and factors that make up Parasition
Hello I’m Olle! The CEO and Founder of Parasition. Today I wanted to write about what we are building and why.
My Co-founder Hugo and I have always been mission-driven, so when we started Parasition about a year ago, it was with the mission to enable everyone in the world to make money from social media. The advertising industry is worth 1.1 trillion dollars a year; ads are all around us, and we see them every day, but hardly any of these enormous earnings go to those actually seeing the ads—the people. We wanted to completely change how humans interact with advertising and create a world where everyone is able to benefit and take part in advertising, not just a few gigantic companies.
The mission remains relevant today. But is any of this even possible, and how would it work? Yes, due to several factors that have completely changed the landscape of social media:
Everyone are able to create content that goes viral: Content over creator, the following and brand of a creator matters less and less, what matters is how good each piece of content is.
Briefs will be the most important thing in the social media space, if you can create great briefs you will be able to create great content and campaigns.
Everyone will become a creator, the lines between creators and consumers will blur due to the democratization of content, making content creation easier.
AI, none of the above would be possible to manage at a large scale without AI overseeing and managing every step.
Given all of this, it comes down to three very big and complex things:
Gathering A LOT of people and convincing them to join Parasition and our mission.
Lowering the bar to creating great content, basically helping creators at scale create better content.
Making it really easy for companies to create great advertising campaigns.
We are continually striving to improve, expand, and build, with AI, community, great branding, and sales at the center of our focus. We are developing and will soon launch two new platforms, one for clients and one for creators. Recently, we have become more active on social media, primarily TikTok and Instagram, so feel free to check us out there. Soon, we will start uploading one "documentary" a week on YouTube about what it is like to build Parasition and the people involved, providing everyone a view into our lives.
A lot of things are still unclear and the path uncertain, but we do know that we won’t stop and that we are going in the right direction. This year we want to expand our community to over 100k creators worldwide, build out AI that can handle the entire system, and become much stronger in our offering towards both creators and clients.
