Why and how we value community
Hello! I’m Olle, the CEO and Founder of Parasition. Today I wanted to talk about community, why it is extremely powerful, and how we hold community at the essence of everything we do.
I believe we live in a very lonely world, where connections have become so oversaturated and accessible that they are indifferent and almost pointless in terms of real value. Many people lack a sense of genuine human connection and the feeling of belonging to something essential for a fulfilling life. This is why we are building community, connection, and love into the core of Parasition.
Building and growing with the community (I will say "with the community") also comes with many other perks in terms of efficiency, results, and growth. I cover them below:
Instant feedback:
We can communicate with our community and instantly receive feedback. When a creator expresses confusion, dissatisfaction, or needs help, we can promptly respond, learn, and improve. We are essentially building a feedback loop and a continuous process of improvement into our offering.
Creators help each other:
Another significant advantage is that creators can support each other. They can discuss, collaborate, and improve together. Many of these processes can occur automatically without the creators needing to be directly involved. For instance, when one creator posts a video that goes viral, it is automatically shared with the community, allowing other creators to learn from it.
In the future, as we incorporate more AI, these effects could be much greater, with possibilities such as analyzing why a video has gone viral or enabling one creator to "copy" another video's editing style using AI. By combining AI and community effects, the possibilities become endless.
Networking effects:
When people feel valued they are proud, when they are proud they talk, it spreads, when things spread it becomes known, and when things become known the growth spirals. By enabling people to earn money from the content they create, making the community cool, treating our creators well, and having Parasition be exclusive, we are starting to experience the fruits of networking effects.
According to Metcalfe’s Law, which states that network effects compound, Parasition will become exponentially more effective and valuable for both creators and companies looking to advertise as we grow larger. With a larger community, there will be more content for creators to learn from and more data to train AI on. We will grow exponentially faster, our clients will be able to conduct more effective advertising, and we will be able to provide our creators with more benefits. A bigger community benefits everyone.
We will always keep community at our core, as we firmly believe it is the best way to build Parasition and provide the most value for everyone, creators, clients, and the world. To strive toward our vision of enabling everyone to earn money from social media, we need our community’s help. Every new creator counts and makes a significant difference.
Our community is currently open for everyone to apply. If applicants pass the Creators Exam, they are admitted and can start creating videos and enjoy all the benefits Parasition offers. You and your friends can apply at parasition.com/creator.
That is all I had to say for this week.
All the best, Olle.
